Sourcery will now run locally on your machine, meaning that no code is sent to the cloud. We are also planning to launch into paid beta in October

The team at Sourcery is pleased to share two big announcements:
Sourcery now runs locally on your machine. This means that there will be no need to send your code to the cloud when using Sourcery.
We will be going into beta next month. Users will be able to sign up to use our Pycharm plugin via a modest monthly subscription.
One of the main pieces of feedback we have received from our alpha testers and the wider developer community has been that sending code to a cloud service can be a deal breaker. We understand these concerns and so decided to act on them. Thanks to several months hard engineering work we are now able to announce that Sourcery will run locally on your machine. We will support Windows, Mac and Linux.
This means:
Your code stays completely private. Since code never leaves your computer Sourcery is now totally safe to use with proprietary code bases.
Sourcery now runs even faster. Thanks to removing latency from cloud communications, and also as a side effect of the compilation techniques we are using, Sourcery is now super speedy. Local Sourcery significantly beats our existing benchmarks on complex refactoring tasks.
We've been working on Sourcery for over a year now, and are excited to announce that we will be ready to move into paid beta next month. We will operate a monthly subscription model - more details to follow. The initial launch will be as a plugin for Pycharm, with other IDE plugins to follow.
We'd like to thank our alpha testers for helping to make this possible by spotting issues and suggesting improvements.
